 The Backyard Brawl between Lake Norman and North Meck will take place on Homecoming tonight at North Meck. For those of you are not from Charlotte, NC we are talking about high school football. The only high schools that you may be familiar with from here is Independence high school and Butler high school because they are rank in the nation top 100 high schools.
This Backyard Brawl was created due the new conference re-alignment. The two schools will play each other for the first time in all sporting events and in addition to that, the Head Football Coach for Lake Norman is a former player and was the Head Coach at North Meck. This is his first return to the school since leaving in 2002.
According to North Meck's school website, with Coach Scott Sherrill returning for the first time this rivalry that has been created is being compared to Pittsburgh and West Virginia's annual football rivalry.
The player to look out for tonight is #4, he is 6'0'' and about 165 lbs. The guy can catch anything thats thrown his way. No matter if he is play wide receiver or defensive back. Most people tell you things about players and they blow the story up, this isn't one of those stories. The little guy with the big heart is not only an athlete, which runs in his family but he is also my nephew and I am proud of him.
He lacks the muscle mass but in his mother's case, "You can't hit, what you can't catch." An by the way the speed that he has or should I say that we have comes from my mama and his grandma.
