After last Saturday’s win over (15) Oklahoma, Miami looks to regain their national creditability as a power house. This week the Canes host Florida A&M at Land Shark Stadium on Saturday at 7 pm. Florida A&M should not be taken lightly. The Rattlers have some explosive players in all three phases of the game. Quarterback Curtis Pulley, two receivers Isaac West and Kevin Elliot who are both Pulley’s favorite targets and the Rattlers also have an outstanding special teams and defense which is lead by defensive back LeRoy Vann. ESPN had a special on this guy and his kickoff returns, if you missed it it was a site to see. Last but not least, The Rattlers are 4-0 and not by mistake.

The Canes must not look over this team because if they do, they will be disappointed. In the last meeting between the two on Sept. 9, 2006, Miami won 51-10. When Miami went on the road and lost to V. Tech, that may have been just the thing that they needed to refocus because they had to play Oklahoma the next week, so if they wanted keep pressing forward in the ACC they knew what they had to do.

I t wasn’t an easy win but they took care of business, which is the attitude that they need to have the rest of the season. Although the Canes do have some things they need to clean up and tighten up before the public accepts them back into the family of the elite.
