Are The Dallas Cowboys Still America’s Team
The Dallas Cowboys have long been known as America’s team. But the question is, are they still America’s team? Are they the team that everybody, including their fans, want to watch? Let’s take a closer look at the Dallas Cowboys and see if they are still America’s team.
The Dallas Cowboys led the league in attendance for home games. They averaged and amazing 87,000 fans per game in the 2010-2011 National Football League season. But some would argue those numbers just show how well they do among their own fans, not with America in general. Well, when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys it isn’t all about home attendance.
The team also lead the National Football League in away attendance with over 72,000 fans attending their road games. When both the home and road attendance numbers are looked at, we find that over 1.2 million people attended Dallas Cowboy football games this year. Those numbers are head and shoulders above any other National Football League team.
Besides physical attendance, games the Dallas Cowboys are playing in have a better chance of being broadcast on national television. For years the Dallas Cowboys 4pm games were broadcast for viewers across the nation to see each and every Sunday. This has changed much in recent times and the Cowboys are also a favorite of Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football. Games pitting them against division rivals like the Eagles, Giants and Redskins seem to be popular with people that aren’t even fans of the teams involved.
Though many people may not like Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, it seems fans of football still enjoy watching the Dallas Cowboys and that despite not winning a Super Bowl in a long time, the Dallas Cowboys are still America’s favorite football team. The information party rocks on: Dallas Cowboys: Latest CBA Proposal Could Put Boys 18 Million over Cap
